Q       I AM A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT USING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.  WHAT DO I HAVE TO  DO TO GET STARTED?
A.       We have a "New Rider Buddy Program" all you need to do is let any one of the dispatchers know you are a first time rider and they will give you to our Dispatch Supervisor.  They will help you understand the program and how to schedule your rides making sure your initial transportation is effortless for you.  We will pick you up at your door and return you there when you have successfully completed your days activities.
 
Q.      HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO WAIT FOR A RIDE?
A.       Most rides very on the wait time and this would depend on your  individual transportation request.   Pick-ups could be as little as 15 minutes.

Q.       WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE A RIDE?
A.        There are different types of transportation needs depending on the individual.  Because of these different types of requests scheduling should be discussed with any of our dispatchers.   If daily transportation is needed to get to work or school  then you should schedule rides on a weekly or even monthly basis.  If you just need a trip to the shopping center, barber or hair salon, to stop at the bank, post office, or maybe even the video store then try and  schedule your ride as soon as possible and be sure to let the dispatchers know when you need to be picked up for return trip home.  Same day scheduling for this type of transportation is fine.

Q.       IS THERE ANY WAY TO SAVE MONEY ON TRANSPORTION FEES?
A.        We offer several different money saving options for those who utilize the service frequently.  One way to save on your fare price would be to purchase tokens.  With tokens you pay for 10 in every roll and actually get 12.  Every driver carries rolls of tokens that are available for purchase.  This can result in 2 free rides in every package.  Another good saving technique is if you are attending a school function either during or after school and you're 18 years of age or younger than pre-schedule your ride 24 hours in advance and your transportation fare will be cut in half.

Q.       CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENT CHARGES FOR ZONES?
A.        Our transportation routes are developed on what are commonly know as zones.  Too simplify this lets say you live in Houghton Lake and would like to go to St. Helen, Roscommon or Higgins Lake, these are quite a distance and the price for any of these transportation requests would be doubled.  This also applies if you need to go from Roscommon to Houghton Lake, Prudenville, or St. Helen or west side of Higgins Lake.  If you only need to stay within the same area such as Prudenville/Houghton Lake to Prudenville/Houghton Lake then this would be considered a single zone and a single fare would be charged.
